BACKGROUND

MPC’s Integrity Unit (IU) is formally established on 1st August 2013 in line with PSD Service Circular No.6/2013. IU is categorized as Moderate since formation. The establishment of IU is to ensure a good working culture with strong moral and ethical characteristics being inculcated to instill the spirit of patriotism. This initiatives are to mitigate incidence of criminal misconduct as well as violations of the code of conduct and ethics among KPK staff.

 Every complaints are strictly confidential and protected under Whistleblower Protection Act (Act 711) 2010.

OBJECTIVES

• To mitigate the incidence of criminal misconduct as well as breaches of the code of conduct in public service;

• To instill and inculcate noble values with codes of conducts in public service;

• By detection and lodging reports of criminal misconduct related to corruption/violation of procedures or code of conduct of public service to the relevant authorities; and

• Function as Secretariat to Disciplinary Committee for KPK.

FUNCTIONS AND ROLES

1. Fortification of Integrity

Through institutionalization of integrity among KPK staff.

2. Complaint Management

To take actions on complaints and tip off against public servants in regards to issues pertaining to integrity misconducts.

3. Detection and Verification

Identification of integrity misconduct through process of detection and verification. Lodge report to relevant enforcement agency for any misconduct relates to criminal elements.

4. Discipline

Act as Secretariat to any Disciplinary Board formed by stakeholders.

5. Compliance

Ensuring compliance with system and working procedures with recommendations for improvements

6. Governance

Ensuring effective implementation of governance at MPIC
