DIVISION BACKGROUND

Information Management Division, Ministry of Plantation and Commodities was established on year 2004. At the beginning of its establishment, this division was known as the Information Technology and Communication Division. On July 26, 2016, the division was renamed the Information Management Division (BPM) to be in line with the scope of functions and responsibilities of the section.

The Information Management Division (BPM) is responsible for preparing and providing ICT related services to all divisions of the Ministry and all offices of the ministry agency and council.

In addition to providing ICT facilities and developing an efficient and effective application system, this division is also responsible for enhancing ICT capabilities and usage from time to time as an effort to support the ministry in delivering services to its customers.

The Information Management Division of KPK consist of 16 staffs which is further divided into the Management and Professional Group and Executing Group which consist of 5 and 11 staffs respectively.

DIVISION FUNCTION

The main functions of the Information Management Division are as follows:

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring the KPK’s Digitalization Strategic Plan (PSP);
  • Preparing, implementing, updating and monitoring the KPK’s Cyber Security Policy (PKS);
  • Planning, preparing, and controlling the OE and DE Budget for Information Management Division;
  • Planning and managing the Ministry’s email system;
  • Secretariat for Ministry’s ICT Meeting as follows;
    • Ministry’s ICT Steering Committee Meeting (JPICT)
    • Ministry’s ICT Technical Steering Committee Meeting (JTICT)
    • KPK’s Official Website Steering Committee Meeting
    • ISMS Coordination Committee
  • Developing, updating and maintaining the Ministry’s Official Website.
  • Developing, updating and maintaining the Ministry’s application systems;
  • Managing and maintaining all of the ICT equipment;
  • Managing the network and communication services;
  • Managing all the equipment in KPK’s Server Room;
  • Managing all the procurement process for information technology;
  • Providing advisory services and technical support (helpdesk);
  • Developing multimedia products;
  • Implementing ICT training;
  • Managing and implementing Video Conferencing; and
  • Coordinator, secretariat and implementer of the Ministry’s ISMS.

2024 ACTIVITIES 

STRENGTHENING WORK FROM HOME FACILITIES FOR KPK STAFF

  • Provides teleconferencing software facilities such as Zoom and Google Meet
  • Provide laptop facilities to P&P officers
  • Provide e-WFH System for reporting and attendance facilities to KPK staff
  • To ensure that KPK's internal system can be used outside the internal network safely
  • Monitor the availability of servers, systems and databases on a 24 -hour basis throughout the WFH period beginning March 2021

ENHANCING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF END-TO-END (E2E) ONLINE SERVICES IN KPK, AGENCIES AND COUNCILS

  • A total of 141 or 97.2% of Services in Ministries and Agencies are End-To-End Online (E2E) compared to 145 online services provided.

PREPARATION OF PUBLIC DATA 2015 - 2025

  • Promote centralized data collection activities for the Agricommodity Sector
  • Data warehouse
  • Developing a data cluster of the Agricommodity Sector in a sequential manner

  • Has been fully developed and approved by JPICT on 19 December 2022 and distributed to Divisions in MPIC as well as Agencies and Councils under KPK

COMMODITY DATA PLATFORM (PDC)

  • Commodity Data Sharing Platform (PDC) is a special platform provided to display Agriculture Sector data in a dashboard.
  • PDC covers trade information clusters, smallholders, biofuels, investment and labor
